Several months ago I bought a beginners’ set of PanPastels, and I finally got to play around with them.
Even though I have 20 colors, I wanted to paint a black-and-white scene which my husband had photographed in Sweden. A canvas is not the best surface for pastels, but I’m quite happy with the result.
The painting measures 50x70cm (~ 20×28 inches) and hangs above our bed (yes, our teddy is really large):
