About me

AnkeHi! My name is Anke, I’m a thirtyish German craft addict. My main job is early music and art education, and I love everything crafty and artsy.

I’m not a professional font designer, it’s all self-taught. After school I had wanted to study graphic design, but I wasn’t admitted to one of the universities where I applied, so I changed plans and studied special education. I love working with children, they are open-minded and creative :)

Living in an old house from the 1930′s, my husband and I spend lots of time renovating. At least when we’re not geocaching or on a photo safari or going to a concert… offline life is quite interesting :D
Sometimes it’s just nice to sit outside reading a good book. So my homepage shows just a part of what I’m doing.

  1. Hi there! I’m trying to leave you a comment on your darling card that you made for CR84FN but something is wrong with your blog. I am unable to post a comment? Thank you so much for joining along!

  2. Hello,
I would possibly like to use your butter… font in my business as an Artist. Do you accept Australian dollars? What would you consider acceptable as a fee per year for me to use your font? I am quite poor at the moment, but will be better off financially in the second year of my business, so I will be able to offer you more then. Alternatively, I could pay you with my artwork if you prefer? Please let me know. Thank you.

    Hi,
We’d like to see about possibly using your AnkeSans font in a game app. Please tell me the price and anything else I might need. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

I’d like to use your typogarden for a poster for my gardening organization. How much and how do I pay you for a copy without the demo text on it?

    • Anke says:

      Hi Deborah,
here’s the link to my font shop – just scroll down for the Typo Garden font and put it in your basket. Checkout is safe and easy via PayPal.

    hi Anke,

I was reading blogs about qtranslate vs WPML and I saw your comment, I would just like to know the plugin your are using right now? is it the qtranslate or the WPML? I’m about to create a multilingual site for my client and I can’t find any best suggestions on the two.

thanks a lot Anke. Have a great day.

    Kelvin.

    • Anke says:

      Hi Kelvin,
thanks for asking! I’m using WPML on my blog, and I like it a lot. It’s not perfect but the better solution compared to qTranslate, at least for my needs. If you have any detailed questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.
      Cheers
      Anke
