Zentangles

Durch einen ATC-Tausch bei swap-bot.com bin ich auf die sogenannten Zentangles gestoßen. Eigentlich habe ich solche kleinen Tuschezeichnungen schon seit Jahren vor mich hingekritzelt, aber dass es auch Leute gibt, die daraus ein Markenzeichen machen, war mir neu.

These are wonderful! They are more fine art than doodling. They evoke miro, kandinsky(stylized cubist period), Edward Gorey, Saul Steinberg doodles
Make sure to put copy right symbol small on edge of doodle next to name. You’ll see them published somewhere. I have Mac OS10 and you can drag right off and have a albeit tiny jpeg. Make them .gifs, then put them up. They could be made into brushes for photoshop, love the bat wing.
They would do well as stamps. Here in US there is a wierd hobby, that has taken over the nations housewives, called scrapbooking, and they sell art to decorate books, stamps, stickers, papers companies buy art rights, and make paper etc.. It’s a sterilized hybred of postcard stamp decorating, that’s the only thing that would come close to it in Europe. We do sterilize art for the masses here.
The Middle class doesn’t buy original art, well maybe New Yorkers, do.

ich kannte diese Form der Zeichnung bis jetzt unter “Telefonkritzelei”, habe sie selbst auch gerne beim telefonieren erstellt, oder auf Kalendern die Jahreszahlen ausgeritzelt zu einem “Bild”.
Muß mich mal weiter informieren über diesen neuen Begriff.
Übrigens, als Fontfan benutze ich auch sehr gerne deine tollen Fonts für Scrapbooking.
